This just in from the Friends of Chamber Music…Due to illness, Monday evening’s Dawn Upshaw recital at the Newmark Theater has been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 3rd at 7:30 pm.
Ms. Upshaw’s program of songs by Ives, Faure, Debussy, Ravel, Messiaen, and Crumb will remain the same.

Seattle Opera’s 2009-10 season
Seattle Opera announced the remainder of their 2009-10 season on Wednesday. First up is a trio of Verdi productions–Traviata in October, Trovatore in January, and Falstaff in late February and early March–followed by the world premiere of Daron Aric Hagen’s Amelia in May, and then the three “Ring” cycles throughout the month of August.
